COL (Retired) Barbara Kugler, R.N.

COL (Retired) Barbara Kugler was re-appointed to the Ohio Veterans Home Board of Trustees in 2003.

COL Kugler is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati, the Jewish Hospital School of Nursing, the University of Texas Medical School, and the Thomas More College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology.

COL Kugler recently retired from the Cincinnati Veterans Affairs Medical Center where she served as a Research Nurse for the PTSD program.

COL Kugler's military career is vast and spans over 33 years with the United States Army. She has served in different assignments ranging from OB staff nurse to Nursing Supervisor in Vietnam. She retired from the United States Army with rank of Colonel.

Mrs. Kugler is a very accomplished member of the Board. She currently serves as Vice-Mayor of Harrison, Ohio, President of the Board of Trustees Joseph House, Inc., Chairman of the VFW 4th District VAVS and the American Legion Post Americanism Chairman. Barbara has also served as Region 10 Coordinator of Governor's Advisory Committee on Women Veterans and was inducted into the Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame in 2000.

Mrs. Kugler resides in Harrison, Ohio.
