Glen E. Johnson Glen E. Johnson was appointed to the Board of Trustees by Governor Taft on August 25, 1999.
Mr. Johnson is a graduate of Cleveland State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration. Since graduating, Mr. Johnson has earned certificates from the Maxine Goodman Levin College of Urban Affairs at Cleveland State University in Leadership Development Training and Neighborhood Leadership.
Mr. Johnson has remained active in the veterans’ community by serving on the Board of Cuyahoga County Veterans Service Commission and serving as President of the Board in 1996. He was also elected to the Ohio State Association of County Veterans Service Commissioners serving as President in 1998. From July 1997 to June 1999, Mr. Johnson served as the County Veterans Service Commissioners’ representative to the Governor’s Board of Veterans Affairs and in 1999, he was appointed representative to the Ohio Veterans Bicentennial Committee.
Additionally, Mr. Johnson was elected Commander of the Department of Ohio 20th District of AMVETS serving from 1999 to June 2002, and he was elected President of the Greater Cleveland Veterans Council on February 3, 2002.
