Ray Orrand

Raymond Orrand was appointed to the Board of Trustees by Governor Strickland on August 8, 2007.

Mr. Orrand served with the United States Marine Corps from 1967 1970 and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device, Vietnam Service Medal with 2* and the Combat Action Ribbon.

Mr. Orrand has worked in the construction industry as a heavy equipment operator and as the administrator of the Ohio Operating Engineers Health and Welfare Plan, the Ohio Operating Engineers Pension Plan and the Ohio Operating Engineers Scholarship Program since 1995. He is also on the Health Care Advisory Committee for the International Union of Operating Engineer's in Washington D. C.

Mr. Orrand is a member of the American Legion and is a Life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He is also the son of a disabled World War II veteran.
